Safety & Burning Tips
Candle Safety

Candle Safety
Make sure to place your candle on a flat heat-resistant sturdy surface, away from drafts, water, children and pets.
Do not handle your candle while it is burning, the wax is liquified, or the jar is hot. Please wait until the wax has solidified and the candle is cool after it’s been extinguished to move or handle your candle.
Never leave your candle burning unattended.
Burn your candle no longer than 4 hours at a time.
Extinguish your candle safely. Do not use water or the candle lid to put out the flame.
Keep the wax pool free of debris and wick trimmings.
Do not burn your candle too close to walls or ceilings.
If you are burning more than one candle, be sure to keep them at least 3 inches apart from one another.
Never use a candle as a night light or burn while asleep.
Wooden Wick Use + Maintenance
Candle Safety
Candle Safety
The wooden wicks have been trimmed to the recommended size and are ready to light.
When lighting your candle, be sure to let it form a full melt pool before extinguishing it. Your candle has reached a full melt pool when the melted wax has reached all edges of your candle and is about 1/4 inch deep. Make sure your candle reaches a full melt pool every time you light it. Wax has a memory + the melt pool will only reach as far as it melted the last time it was lit.
When the candle is unlit and cool, you may remove the blackened bits on the end of the wick with your fingers or a wick trimmer. Make sure it is 1/4 inch before lighting each time. This will help maintain the integrity of the wick so it continues to perform properly. Be sure to discard any wick trimmings properly.
