About Mahogany Grove
I've always been drawn to candles--the soft glow, the comforting fragrance, and the way they transform a space into something warm and lived-in. Over time, I began to notice that many commercial candles left me with headaches, something I initially tried to overlook.
When I became pregnant, my perspective shifted completely. I no longer wanted to bring anything into our home that didn't feel clean, safe, and responsibly made for my family.
That was the beginning of my journey.
I spent years of researching waxes, wicks, and fragrance oils, determined to create something that felt both safe and beautifully crafted. The process involved extensive trial and error--waxes that didn't burn evenly, cotton wicks that produced soot, and fragrances that didn't meet the standard of "clean" I was searching for,
Eventually, I discovered the combination that became the heart of Mahogany Grove--a luxurious coconut-apricot wax blend, carefully selected fragrance and essential oil compositions, and, quite unexpectedly, crackling wooden wicks made from fast-growing, untreated fruit trees. The wooden wicks weren't something I had set out to find; they were a happy surprise during my research and testing. Once I experienced the gentle crackle and cozy ambiance they created, I knew they were something special. The result was a clean-burning candle that not only filled out home with beautiful fragrance, but also brought an entirely new level of warmth and comfort to the experience.
What began as a personal passion quickly grew into something more. I started making candles for myself, then for friends, family and teachers With their encouragement, Mahogany Grove was born--first through local markets, then Etsy, and now here in our own space.
Over time, I've been joined by my daughters in creating a growing collection of handcrafted goods, including crocheted hats, macrame pieces, wax melts, and more. Each item is made with the same intention, care and attention to detail that inspired this brand from the very beginning.

Our crackling wooden wicks are ethically sourced and manufactured in the USA using FSC-certified wood. The wood is untreated and free of fertilizers and pesticides, allowing for a clean burn and a naturally enhanced fragrance throw compared to traditional cotton wicks.
We blend essential oils and clean fragrance oils that are phthalate -free and made in the USA, carefully chosen for both performance and purity.
Together, our wax, wicks, and oils create a balanced, high-quality candle designed to burn cleanly, perform beautifully, and gently fill your space with long-lasting fragrance.
